Hi all! I am doing just fine. The swelling around my right eye is about gone and my "black eye" is about gone as well. I just got "the check" from my insurance company so I am ready to go looking for a replacement vehicle. I am really glad that Mitch had the information that he had on location, etc., of my wreck. It made turning in reports to my insurance company and the Kentucky State Police possible. I had been checking several places for Liberties, and somehow got into looking at TSB's (Technical Service Bulletins) and am kind of shaking my head now. Anyhow, I'm sure I will figure something out and get back on the road/trail. Thanks for everyone's kind thoughts.

Jim, glad you ended up being okay, that could have been really bad.
Did the insurance company keep the Libby? Just wondering if you bought back and considered parting.

Glad to hear you are healing up Jim. Hopefully we'll get to wheel again (preferable with a little less excitement  )

Hi Tahoe, I just got a check from my insurance company for the loss minus what we owed on the Liberty. A document that came with the check stated they have 30 days to do something about a salvage title, so I am waiting to see what the price is going to be. I have been looking at Liberties, but most of the '02 thru '04's have fairly high miles, and there aren't very many of them for sale anyhow. So, I have been seeing mostly '05 and later Liberties. The rock rails and some other parts won't interchange with the earlier models, so I am stuck there. And, the '05 and later liberties don't even have the factory front engine skid. I have a new one in the garage that I had ordered by mistake at an earlier time and I will start with that if I get an '05 or later. Starting over is such a bummer! And the wife is going "we can't afford all this. You took your time and built your last one." I told her it is summer and time to get out on the trails. We'll see how it goes. I wish Tommudd was back so I could see what he could come up with, accessory-wise (skid plates, rock rails, lift, etc.)

It is looking pretty good, so far. Scott has already fixed a noise with the tailgate. It is pretty plain-jane. I wish it had cruise control and might try to have them fix that. It has two small dents that I will ask about fixing, as well. Also, the starter sounds like it is on it's way out, at least to me. But it is a nice ride, has low miles, (28k) etc. Scott likes it. That is a real plus! We will have to see who blinks first!

Hopefully he stays away from that "Ohio black" KJ that is for sale. I've met the owner and that thing is pretty much junk, he does everything half way and rigs it. Most of it is held together by clothes hangers I believe  :-)r
Glad your doing okay, you'll find another one. Does suck for ya though starting over.
