I know what you're thinking...

Is that a soft window on the driver door of his KJ?

Yes it is... Being tested in Ouray as we speak. :D

Very very interesting...

I need a second set of doors, but at 300-400 a pop, it'll have to wait.

That is actually the second thing I noticed. First was, "What happened to your custom fenders!?!?"

I asked that a week or two ago never got an answer.

He damaged the custom fenders, tore them off IIRC so he put the regular ones back on. He is going to rework the custom design to make it better I believe.

Very interesting......need more/better pics.

I'm digging the stock fenders w/ the cut down bumper. I'd stick w/ those.

Ot..... my biggest problem w/ tube steel fenders is if they get hit, they are going to transfer the majority of inpact to the sheet metal where they attach. tube flares might survive but would the fender? at least the plastic has some give to it before it will damage the fender.

The whole story is recapped in the flat fender thread

OK so here are the pics people have been wanting on he window... this was my first try at anything likt this and a lot of lessons were learned. There is about 30 hours of work into this one window but it installs with no drilling and uses only factory hardwear. There is also one long strip of steel sewn into the bottom with 4 industrial magnets to hold it to the door... been on for almost 2 months in ALL sorts of weather with no issues at all.

The lighter areas are sealant ( I ran out  )

Mounting to factory door... the velcro strap only holds the window open. Everything is held on under the rearview mirror, upp corner, and down by the latch.

More windows will be coming as I work out the kinks in the design.... though it works great...

A semi tire pitched a rock from the oncoming lane this spring and it went right through that little window

It seems like a lot of work to replace the glass while leaving the rest of the upper door? A curtain type deal like used on a first gen Viper or some older British roadsters might be an easier way to go for you. A simple attachment at top, a drop down piece of plastic, and your magnent attachment at the bottom. Just a thought.
