Looks great Geojeeper!

I liked my Daystar kit too, it rides nice & looks great, but when my coils went I switched to OME.

Yep, still stock springs, struts, shocks, oil.. Oh, wait... not the oil. We've been very lucky with our Jeep. There have been a couple re-call items that we had replaced even though we didn't experience the reported problems.

Other than that, we had to have the water pump replaced under warranty at around 40K if I remember correctly, and just recently we had the A/C quit. (Having that looked at tomorrow) But we've been incredibly happy with our Jeep. When I tease the wife about trading it in, she says, "I don't think so. We're driving it 'til the wheels fall off."

Daystar is the brand name, he's referring to the 2.5" lift kit.

looks good! if that front doesn't seettle down to level you might want to add a upper rear isolator pad to each side to bring the back up a smidge. like $12 a piece from a dealer.

they're pretty common in the spacer lift, they make some poly bushing replacements and stuff too

is it just me or does the before picture show a ton of sag in the springs? sits soooo low. i hope not or else it'd be a waste of a spacer lift :(

looks better with the lift tho bro...and the house down the block thru the drivers window changed colors.

with 117000 miles on it has to be a lot of sag to the stock springs. Like to see how close they are sitting together now with the spacers thrown in there

It does feel good. My wife has to get used to it though. She's only about 5'3" and about fell getting out the first time. She forgot that it's higher.

DOH!!! That's exactly the kit I got from Superior 4X4...the KJ09115BK. It came with 4 "stem cushions". Would that be the "bumpstops" you refer to?

These are the bumpstops: http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/vie ... 904#421904

Thank you, very much. Those are in the kit. Now I need to ask another dumb-a## newbie question. I quess you don't need bump stops on the rear?

From your avatar it looks like you're there.

I have another question. It is suggested that a brake line extension be used on the left rear brake line of the '06-'07 KJ's. I called All-J products and they faxed me the installation instructions for the bracket extension and it apears they want you to bend the hard line. I DON'T THINK SO!!! I think I can fab an extension with a couple of 90 degree fittings and some hard line. The problem is I can't find what size the male fitting of the manifold is. Is there anyone that can help me with this? Below is a picture of my brake line showing that it is one unit that is crimped. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

:?: Are you suggesting I bend the line? If so, how do I do this without crimping? Also, there is not enough slack on my line to drop 3". I'm sorry I don't understand, but I really don't want to bend the hard line. :!:

O.K., tommud, I give. I can't find a longer brake hose for my left rear lift so I'm going to bend the hard line. I read here not to use your hand but use your foot. Obviously that's impossible. Some coworkers have suggested using a glass Coke bottle or bourbon bottle (it's a southern thing  ) depending on the amount of bend. What would you suggest? Will it hurt to bend down the up-bend in the steel line? The picture of my brake line is attached with the up-bend circled. Again, thanks for all the help.

You don’t “bend” the line … it’s more like you swing the line down. Unbolt the block/fitting, you will find that it easily drops down enough to insert a “bracket” that is then bolted to the frame and also to the block.

Well, alrighty then. That's what I'll do. I'll let you know what happens. Thanks for the info.

OK so maybe bend was not the right word    but you do move it down from its current location and bend it to fit the bracket, so technical
