Alsp glad you got the tube - I look forward to reading your review and how the RRO arms wear in use.

I got a question for the people that made the pockets bigger for their UCA's. No matter if it be JBA or RRO stock whatever. I remember reading somewhere on the forum that many people made their pockets for theirs UCA's bigger for more flex or no contact on the UCA at full flex. Now I also remember reading that the bigger pockets were causing additional problems. So my question is should I or should'nt I make the pockets bigger? RRO states to make the pockets bigger so there is no contact of the UCA at full flex. Any opinons will be greatly appreciated.

I read TJKJ (I think) saying that he and Rocklizard had to rebuild the pockets on some vehicles because of problems. He also said that he didn't cut his, but that contact of the JBA arm and the bottom of the pocket over a period of time had peened over the bottom of the pocket anyway. I think that the general consensus was not to cut the bottom of the pocket out.

I'd also search Tommud's posts as well - I think that he said something about it, and from reading his posts, I definitely respect his and TJKJ's opinions.

Since my name was mentioned I will throw in my 2 cents

I think if you read the ones that Marty and Troy rebuilt was on 4 inch lift's from JBA.
I have cut mine out and a few others that I installed ( or helped install) JBA arms on a without any real side effects that I have seen. Without cutting them the pocket does limit travel somewhat but in the grand scheme of things not that much, you may gain 3/4 to an inch of droop at the wheel ( guessing on that)
What I don't like is the arm hitting the pocket which turns the arm into somewhat of a titter-totter effect.

SO....your results may vary

Agreed, the basic design of those arms doesn't really include them acting like a cantilevered beam, IMO. Might as well bumpstop so that they come close to touching, but never do. Or cut...
