Good luck trying to find out. It'd be nice to see some facts as to why he got the boot as opposed to the canned response 'he broke the forum rules'

JL Rockies remembers PM's with TBJ in which he identified a MOD he didn't like very much. Maybe personal distain gave way to public shenanigans and TBJs days were numbered. If you keep making life difficult for a MOD, eventually an Admin is going to pull the trigger.

Boiler doesn't think this was the case. It's his guess that the mods as a group came to this decision. He doesn't blame them, as they probably had their reasons, but he feels for TBJ, who obviously liked spending time on this site.

Oh man, that brings back memories - I haven't had Mickeys in what - 13 years? We'll have to lift a few on the work day, Bub - that is, if we're still on. Not many have chimed in on an alternate date.

So my question is: Do you get warnings, or just get banned all of the sudden? I don't want to lose access - I need this site to keep my CRD tip-top!

It makes sense, at least in callaway's mind, that who ever was responsible for the TBJincident of '09 would come forth and explain why such drastic action was taken. Why not just come and say TBJ was an booty who did ___, or said ____ or pissed off ______. Why all the secrecy surrounding this ? Why hide behind the veil of mods and forum rules. All we want is a valid explanation of what happened and why.

A temp ban is one thing, but erasing someone from existence is a different story altogether that warrants some justification to the masses.

JL Rockies has had and continues to have issues with this MOD so I understand TBJs frustration. Some of us kick the cat TBJ decided to ef with the bull and got the horns.

JL Rockies understands this is a private forum, but he REALLY hates it when his posts get moved to forums they don't belong and and even worse GETS DELTED.

They may think the best thing to do is say he broke rules for the last time and that's it. It is likely that there is a concern that a detailed explaination will start a bunch of drama and people taking sides. The great thing about this site is that it is a place where people with similar interests can socialize, get technical info, organize meetings, and have some fun. When people start taking sides against each other and causing drama it lessens how great a place like this can be.

Like when certain people constantly post comments that are always contradictory to what certain other people have to say. Cliques and fueds are what make forums distasteful for so many people. It is best to avoid planting the seeds that grow into this sort of conflict.

That said, I too am curious...

TBJ was annoying to some, and he knew that and thats what made him happy ( to annoy others)
