Theoretically, when my ball joints fail from my Rock Krawler 2'' leveling / lift ( they call it 3.5'' lift but only supply you with a 2'' rear spacer ) I was thinking of installing the 2.5 JBA lift and keeping the Rock Krawler lift in as well. This would be a total of 6'' up front if its a true 3.5'' inch lift up front & 4.5'' outback. If I were to use the 4'' JBA lift Struts up front coupled with the RK forks I think I would get better extension out of the front and not max out the strut very easily. I would also opt for the 4'' JBA lift shocks out back. My ultimate goal is to be able to clear 285/75/16's without to much cannibalization to the front bumper. I also think that with a larger tire like the 285 the cv shaft will have a better angle, and hopefully not bind. So what say you ? Constructive critisim is encouraged.

Thanks,Jim

I hate to be all negative, but it isn's going to happen with the JBA 2.5 and the RK 3.5. The current design of the JBA set up of the 4.0 lift limits you to 5 inches before you run in to problem. Now once the modifications are made to the 2.0 version of the 4 inch kit, 6 to 6.5 inches shouldn't be a problem before the CV scream bloody murder..

Now in the rear, no problem IF you have the adjustable track bar. At full extension with the 4.0 kit, the drive shaft is very close if not already rubbing the fuel tank skid. Now this problem can be fixed by adjusting the track bar ( I need to play with mine). Brake lines will have to be done to....

Bob, have any thing to add about the 4 inch kit?

yup

first, at 6'' of lift in front, you will have 0'' down travel available and I really mean 0'' . the a arms will sit on the springs, the cv's will be maxed and the tie rods too. that will be an uncomfortable ride to say the least  the rear would be ok with an adj track bar, rear brakes lines and long arms. it might even work with the stock arms but handling would suffer

overall a very bad idea. and I dont think you would fit 285's with much less cutting than with just a jba4 or even just the jba 2.5'' with a small clevis lift

Edit: now that i think about it the rear would be fine without long arms. the rear jba 2.5 springs dont give that much lift

did I just read v2.0 jba4 :o I want more details  6.5'' of lift ? that cant be without a cradle drop

Good info guys thanks. I guess it will just be the 4'' JBA and 265/75/16's.

Now about that 2.0, any ideas of a release date ? What kind of cost increase will there be if any ? And lastly How much mre suspension travel are we talking ????
