Tom, I was wondering, the Goodyear Duratrac are those considered Allterrain or Mud tires ? They look agressive, hard to tell !!

Not sure but they are not advertising it as a mud tire I know, its more of an in between , aggressive AT ? maybe ??

Ride is good, quiet going down the road , gets lots of looks  8)

I have heard tire manufacture's were starting to make crossover mud/allterrain tires, that's what they look like. You kinda get the best of both worlds with a tire that has great traction and low tire noise and low wear !! How bad was the price ????

I aint no tommudd, but I can tell you, I was lookin at the duratracs and the new MTRs both. It seemed like the duratracs had a more aggresive tread that would be better suited for mud and rocks. But I dont know whether or not the duratracs come with the Kevlar option? I am diggin the duratracs myself.

Got them at Tireman and they price matched for me , mounted , balanced, taxes , so final total 702.00

Goodyear wanted 189. per tire plus mounting, balancing, taxes, etc and would not budge, that was after I convinced them that they did in fact have such a tire!

Funny thing is both places get the tires out of the same warehouse in downtown Toledo

the debate between those tires being an AT or MT is tough. It seems there are all terrains that about both way aggressive, and way nonaggressive.

just look at these tires that are both considered "all terrains"

a friend of mine has these on his 08 chevy and let me tell you they are the last thing id call all terrain haha

**HIJACK OVER**

Tom looks awesome as usual! you've given me some new ideas...

hey I know the handles are hollow in between, have you filled the gaps with anything to prevent dirt/sand/mud from getting in there or just let them go?

Regarding the handles, I bought some very thin wall pipe back 4 years ago when I drilled the rear door to put in and glue in place, long story short, never did it and never had any dirt etc in the rear door so no worrying about it for now. Maybe in 2014 when I retire I will do it then!

They look great, the sidewall makes it look really aggressive, and give it a more mud terrain feeling. Soon it's about time for a matching spare 8) . Might just be me, but I would personally feel odd with a different spare.

They forgot to order 5 so stuck for a few days until I can get back in

Doesn't bother me as most times its covered up anyways, plus the spare is sold so it already came off and waiting for its new owner

Wish list: 2.5 inch lift, bigger tires and more aggressive tires. Custom rock sliders. That's it for now.
