Again it has been more than 15 months since I did this. My onlu issue was getting the new rotors to fit, which they did not. I tried 3 different brands and finally had to go to the dealer to get OEM Bosch rotors that would actually fit. No one could explain, even the manufacturer did not have a clue why the rotors would not fit over the parking shoes. We did get a micrometer out and messured, the OEM was 3mm larger than the aftermarket ones.
How strange. Perhaps the three "different" brands were all sourced from the same factory and they either mislabeled or got the OEM specs wrong. It wouldn't be the first time.
Luckily, my rotors fit perfectly. But those shoe springs were a pain in the arse! I finally went with what was shown in the manual but put a tiny spot of grease between the spring and the parking brake actuator to reduce slow down the damage from the thing scraping up against it.
I also replaced the bleeder valves in the new calipers with "one man" bleeder valves which have a one-way valve so I could bleed the lines myself.
Everything seems to work fine now.
