Front Bumpstops with 2" Lift

Well i have to give these Red BumpStops from JBA an F---. The Rubber they are made of is so hard i couldnt get them fully into the socket. I could easily take out and reinstall the original Chrysler ones because the rubber is soft but these red ones are so hard they are like a hockey puck. So there goes some money down the drain. Digger, can you confirm the TeraFlex ones are a softer material similar to the originals?

Just use a little bit of lube like liquid soap or spit and insert the rear end first.... the terra flex ones are also hard... they will fit with some muscle

I used WD40 and me and my father both could not get it in, i used vice grips,wrenches, you name it, it would not go in, but the original ones i could easily put in my hand

It will go... like I said, either try the front first or the rear first..... You may have to take your tire off to get the leverage you need....

Ya i took the tire off, greased up the outer rim of the bumpstop and tried hooking the rear the pulling up and forward for the front. I used tall vice grips, wrenches and putting a large Flathead and a mallet to try and bang the top in while the back was hooked up but it was a LOST cause

Pretty much Digger has told you all that I know. On some they seem really hard and some they pop right in.
On mine I had to take a screwdriver and while the back was hooked up in pry/pushed with the screwdriver in one of the notches and hit the bottom with a hammer and it went.
Others have used a shovel with the point back in the spring, curved side up and pried them into place.
Of course these were all Teraflex but basically the same material .
Reading back through your posts it looks like you've tried pretty much everything. WD 40 never worked for me, but liquid soap , small amount of grease.

Let me think some more , if you don't get it let me know

Ya ive tried all that but instead of a shovel i used a really large flathead screwdriver and put it in the spring then tried to pry up on the bumpstop. The material is just too hard in my opinion because the original i can put in by hand easily

The originals are easy to put in due to being TOO soft. They will go in trust me ( and Digger :wink:

) Not even sure how many have been put in that I have helped with but a bunch, and all went in , like I said some a little harder but they all go in

as you're prying up with the back in, and have it lubricated well take a wide screwdriver and keep pushing along the top edge, as soon as it starts to go it will pop right in

Maybe there was a problem with a batch that JBA made. I would call JBA and see what Marlin says about it. Maybe he can send you another set to try or send you the Tera Flex ones.
