When I do the lift pump do I have to do the filter at the same time?

Or can I just run the OEM for awhile?

No, but after you install it check for leaks as it will be under pressure instead of vacuum

Also remember your filtering efficiency of the stocker (or lack thereof) might go down. Efficiency is rated by pressure, the higher the pressure the less efficient. Going from neg. pressure to positive might let more stuff thru. I won't do it very long.

Happened for me. A few weeks after installing the lift pump, I started to notice diesel residue around the heater plug. Pretty good confirmation that was where the air was coming from in the first place :)

So far my plug area has been dry. The last one leaked big time fuel actually would run down the side of the filter.

My fuel head is under pressure I have an electric fuel pump in the line, but once its starts getting cold out I start sucking air in from some place behind the filter head I think.

I posted a picture once but can't seam to find them.
