I've found it frustrating that Jeep didn't factor in off-roading the KK enough to raise the tow hitch assembly up into the bumper (like on other Jeeps -- either the Grand or Commander -- can't recall which). I've beat the crud out of my hitch on rocks at the closest off-road park to me called
Kansas Rocks. After I take care of a steel front bumper with winch, I'm turning my attention to the rear bumper -- even if I have to pay someone to make something. The KK's rear bumper, just itself, much less with a Mopar tow hitch below it and sticking further out, doesn't help the KK's clearance on the trail. Someone needs to make a steel, or aluminum, rear bumper that would tuck tighter to the KK's body and be a little tapered on the bottom side to maximize departure angle clearance. The tow hitch hardware should then be up inside the bumper. Sorry for the rant, I'm just getting tired of my KK dragging its tail, e.g. tow hitch, while off-roading and having to straighten it out after every single off-road trip.
