Hi, all,

Been awhile since I was here! Hope everyone is well, employed, and has much to be thankful for.

I've got about 75k miles on my CRD now, most of it on biodiesel that is carefully quality controlled. It's got a Suncoast converter in the tranny, an EHM mod, and the InMotion tune on the ECM. It also has a Kennedy lift pump, and a Racor filter that has been changed within the last 10k miles.

Recently I've noticed that at neutral throttle, I can feel a little hesitation. Mileage has dropped off a fair amount, but it's also been getting colder here so I figured that might be part of it. But today, putting the engine in neutral, I can clearly hear the engine hesitate or misfire every so often...the speed changes, tach changes, etc.

My gut tells me it's an injector issue, but then my gut's wrong sometimes. And doing a search here, I don't see anybody having issues with the injectors ever, seemingly. Heck, I can't even find pricing on injectors for this engine online...as if they don't fail much. Are they even serviceable in terms of cleaning them?

Anybody had similar symptoms and been able to trace them to something specific? I'll thank you in advance for your thoughts.

Is it very consistent, like does it seem to happen the same amount of seconds apart? I had the same symptom my self. It was the AC compressor short cycling in heating mode. Maybe yours is more, but I hope not. Open the hood and listen for the click of the compressor at idle with the heat on.

Hmmm...I'm a musician, so you'd think I would have noticed a rhythm. But this is a good idea...I'll unplug the relay for that and see if it changes anything.
