Gotta check the usual suspects - air in fuel being #1. Pull the heater plug on the fuel filter head and check for melting, press the manual primer pump several times to see if there is adequate fuel pressure in the filter head, and bleed off any air that may be present. If all that checks out, replace the fuel filter; another member just posted about a similar problem that resulted from getting some bad diesel that clogged the fuel filter.
Seems to be a rash of posts like this lately. I can't help but wonder if the introduction of winter diesel has something to do with all of this.
