Since the latest days-long crash, I have to constantly log in even after checking "remember me" and it takes multiple times to post or log out if it does keep me logged in; "invaled session." Fail

Do what I did. Rebookmark the site after you log in and delete the old bookmark, worked for me.

It may sounds simplistic, but has everyone tried the "logout" button before logging back in (assuming you're seeing wierdness)? Not that you should generally need to do so, but it puts a bit of a "line in the sand" from a cookie perspective.

Please remember that although many of these behaviors are frustrating, they're occurring because the folks that run the forums are doing their best to ensure that everyone has access to the site while it is prepped for a major upgrade. The alternative is to shut everything down and no-one have a site to visit for several days (definitely less desirable in my book).

If anyone continues to have strange issues after trying all the items in this thread, please PM me and I'll try to help you work through it.

Thanks
Dan

Same thing was happening to me, so I just now went in and cleared the cookie for the site, then logged off and closed my browser. Opened the browser back up and logged in and it took me to the 'new posts' list (which is my default home page for the browser). The list was empty since it took maybe a minute to do all of that but I will try it again here in a half-hour or so and report what happens.

Well after a few hours I got back on the internet, opened my browser and got re-directed to the index page so clearing the cookies and logging of then back on did not seem to correct any issues. Bummer...

OK just to update I finally figured it out. In my defaults for my home page tabs (I have firefox open up 5 tabs to various sites I got to regularly) I had this site listed with the www.lostkjs.com domain - once I changed it to the lostjeeps.com domain it works just like it used to. I've been using it for the past few days just to make sure before I posted the info.

Hope this helps, if anyone needs more info on this I'll see if I can explain it better.

Yeah, I had the same issues and did this and so far it seems ok.

The domain name switch worked for me at home, but not at work.

Probably a fluke or you not having access to delete certain things on your work machine. Just wait 3 days. You'll have to do it all over anyway. :)
