Utility knife would solve that problem. Did you have a problem with them?

I've Never seen them used in the front suspension.. It's just a place where mud, salt, snow, rocks etc don't need to be stuck in..

It looks kinda funny too...

To each their own. Sorry you think they look funny. I didn't tie them off for rain, snow and mud drainage. I put them in there to protect the exposed shaft. :D

Your intentions are good in all, but that shaft doesn't need it. The chroming on that shaft is hard. Am I mean like now even a vise grip can hurt it hard. It might protect it, but it also allows abrasives to sit longer on the wiper seal. It may extend or shorten the life of the strut..... Only time will tell........

I can always cut them out. The top and bottom are unsecured just in case of what you talk about. Thanks, guys! Most people dont have anything on the shocks? How about the rears?

Rear almost always have them because of ascetic reasons. It's all about the look. Most can easily be seen where as the front is a little more obscure.....

If it makes you happy, Leave them. They don't look half bad

I'll take them out after a while. Snow, rain and mud aren't the norm here but rocks are. This lift is kicking my A**. Left UCA is bolted in! L knuckle in! L shock/spring in! Whats the best way to tighten and torque the CV axle nut? put both brakes on and have the wifey step on the brakes?

that or drop it down after you are done and put it in 4x4 with the parking brake on and the trans in park and then torque them.....

Well, the front is done. :D :D :D ! Lots of rest between messing with it. Last night I found that I buggered the lower clevis bolt  . I got up this morning and called the only Jeep dealership left in town. No have the bolt! :( :( Started calling around all the mcParts stores and then the real parts stores. I found heaven in a place called McFadden-Dale hardware. 14mm-2.0 grade 10 bolt 145mm long? no problem. grade 10 lock nut and flat washers? come and get them! how much? $4.15 plus tax. Bought a 14-2.0 die just because I has happy (14.95)! Vegas store doesn't have a website but here's one for so. cal.

The rear is done except the brakeline extensions. I have one done, primed and hanging to dry. The other one will be done tomorrow after I get back from a doctor's appointment. It's like crazy tall sitting in the garage, barely able to get out the door. Is that normal? I suspect all will settle driving a few miles. Thank you, everybody, for all the help and input. pictures to follow. :D

Do you not have a firestone service center in Las Vegas?

Bummer………the lifetime alignment for $140 is a pretty good deal, that’s if Firestone stays in business.

after a lift - that's commonly the upper rear shock mount
you need to add a couple of washers to take up the space.
