Well, um.... I am old enough to remember. Yep... Global cooling was the political cause celeb along with the beginnings of the nuclear freeze movement. Unlike a previous post... there was more than just one article. I can remember it being discussed at the University of Colorado where I was an undergrad. We discussed it in one of the geology classes I had.

Some seem to forget (now this one I wasn't alive to witness) that there was a "mini" ice age that occurred around the 15th century. It really affected Europe's crops for 4 decades.

I'm not worried. I let my membership in the Chicken Little Society lapse quite some time ago.

I like your thinking :!:
This is about money not science! Just ask Al W. or was that a G. while he flies from one high $$ paid event to another wasting fuel.

....Why is their data full of made up of information riddled with fraud and deception.
There end game is Politics and not Environmental Stewardship.
In my line of work a Painter who paints the Pipes has done more for the environment than all the
Pseudo-scientists who are playing with computer models they loaded with made up information.
In one report not yet substantiated (I hope it was a joke), these so called Scientists were using satellite data from the 1800s in their computer models.

Personally any person calming to be a scientist who reports knowingly false data and costs us trillions of dollars, deserves to be arrested and put on trial.

These clowns have een caught red handed and should pay the price.

About time, I want a good reason to munch on popcorn.

Global warming and all radical environmentalism is nothing more than the new hiding place for communism! Its all about stealing money from those people/nations that have money and giving it to those people/nations that dont!

Marxist redistrobution of wealth!

Deleted a much longer post to avoid making enemies...

We ask science to "prove" everything to 100% or we believe it is false. That makes sense....

But I think if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, looks like a duck, smells like a duck, and tastes like a duck, I'll call it a duck and move on. I don't call it a zebra because I don't have DNA proof.

Tin foil hats should go to the conspiracy theorists in my opinion....

Global climate change is a natural occurrence. How else did we enter and exit ice ages. Earth itself is capable of producing way more pollution than humans have. Look at volcanoes for example. I am not saying that humans don't pollute but trying to put the blame for global warming on CO2 released by humanity is asinine. CO2 is a vital part of life, without it you cannot produce oxygen. Those goof balls that want "carbon credits" are just taxing air. If this was about anything else it would address the real issues of pollution and not CO2.

I'm not arguing how to solve the problem, just that it exists.

H20 is essential to life too, but you can drown in it. Just because something has a use or is needed doesn't mean it's production comes without detriment.

Where was Al Gore when Pangea seperated into continents? That really made trips to Europe inconvenient and seriously threw my Chi off center. :D I think we nee to pass a bill that ecosystems are never to change otherwise they would face hefty fines!! 8)

Had the dinosaurs passed heavy anti-meteorite legislation we could ask them for tips on global change... but they got tied up in piggybacking anti-"things with fur" legislation and never passed anything through in time.

Stupid selfish climate...
