The sticker would be a cool idea I would like to see something in white outline drawing like the lost jeeps stickers.

when I first got my Liberty I got the wave from some other jeep drivers. Mostly other guys in Wranglers and a few libertys on back roads.

I think with some the liberty is not taken seriously as a jeep that can do more than get the groceries. I was talking about the possability of getting a lift at work in the lunch room one day and a female coworker told me I can't do that to a liberty cus its "a girlie Jeep" yeah right. of course she wanted me to buy some junk for her kids fiund raiser the same day and I wouldn't.

There is something in the people's minds that its not a real Jeep for sure. I wish that would change. I do wonder what's up with 2 wheel drive jeeps. I don't know why you would buy a truck or SUV and not get a 4x4. To me a Jeep thats not 4x4 is not a real Jeep.

And yet Jeep has been building 2 wheel drives forever in one way or the other , thats a non point!

Who cares if its a 2 wheel drive or not. They at least bought a JEEP! 79 % of the people would not know anyways .

I have noticed this over the past year or so how the waving has pretty much stopped. At first I just figured it was because I was in a KJ and not a wrangler and gave up on the community. But now Im thinking its what you said here about how people in my area with Jeeps have them cause they are "cool" and not because they are Jeeps. Dont get me wrong the coolest vehicles on the road today are jeeps, but the brand is not just a fashion statement. I guess I should have seen it coming with all the Sahara JKs running around with teenagers and soccer moms.....

Should of seen it coming????
In 1963 Jeep came out with the Wagoneer which was aimed to get the market of women and people who normally would not buy a Jeep but wanted a station wagon type of vehicle. AC was added and power steering so that more people like that would buy Jeeps.
So its not a matter of should of seen it coming with all of the Saharas etc its been happening for over 46 years!

If you want attention and people to look at your KJ/KK.... Mod the crap out of it.... Plain and simple.... and a sticker is not going to do it....

No matter where I go I have people looking/gocking/and breaking their necks to see my KJ...

I can not count the amount of times I've had people standing beside my KJ when I come out of a grocery store etc....

In New York I had an old guy in a brand new 2010 corvette who was beside me at a stop light.. Roll his window down, give me a thumbs up, and said NICE JEEP! I asked him if he wanted to trade.. but he said not today....

Oh and as far as the JEEP WAVE.... My rule has always been... You do not wave at another jeep unless A) They wave first.... or B) their rig is better looking or equal to mine....

I have ALOT of people look, gawk and break their necks when they see a liberty that sounds like mine. Nobody in this area has ever seemed to hear a flowmaster on a jeep.

I get the jeep wave, but usually only when the libby is covered in mud.
A guy in a built, bada$$ YJ was driving next to me and looked over and started laughing and gave me a thumbs up. lol :D

Look what I started! ha, I have gotten waves, Lately it has been from hunters when they see me driving down a trail that they just finished hunting on

Ive only met one other Liberty owner in NH that has taken it off-road (intentionally).

As for the mods? I'd love to, but I'm broke. I'm trying to pay for myself to go to college while living on my own. As nice as a lift kit, bigger tires, a new exhaust, and any of the other items on my list are. My edumacation is #1. So i'm saving up for some mods, but technically a sticker is a modification :P

*shrug* Just an idea.

I never had anyone take a second look at my Jeep until today. With the lift installed I had the cruise on running to the airport to pick up dad. People speeding up and slowing down, running 20 feet back taking a look and coming up along side with a thumbs up! Very cool!

I got a wave today....but then again it was from a neighbor with a Comanche. The wave seems to be pretty dead, but from time to time you see a like minded person and they wave. I still do from most times depending on the situation.

As for Tom's statement about jeep from 1963 on. I love pretty much anything jeep has ever made(and if I don't love it I like it ALOT  ). In fact I admit I loved the compass and patriot (almost bought an FDII patriot). I don't care what the jeep is good at I still love it. Granted I'm not a fan of independent suspension, but there are times when it is warranted and OK to have. What I meant by "See it coming" is the amount of people buying jeeps cause they are a fashion statement. I know its been happening for decades but in my area it seems to be pretty new. Other then family haulers like the liberty, grand cherokee or commander running around it was actual jeep enthusiasts. But now it seems there has been a huge influx of sales for more aesthetic purposes. I'm fine with it. Just as long as it keeps Jeep in business Ill be happy.

As for my jeep and the disrespect it has gotten by fellow jeepers. I don't care anymore, in fact I haven't for a while. I know what my jeep can do and it has never let me down EVER. I narrowed it down to 3 Jeeps when I was buying and the liberty fit the best and I haven't regretted it one bit. My opinion is do your own thing and if people don't like it or give you respect then just move on. Just my $.02. :JEEPIN:

I'm going to conscientiously wave or head nod at other Jeeps and see what happens. I'll admit I haven't been. Only because I felt it wasn't the thing to do. I'm feeling I'm deserving of a "club" now with a major modification.
