I have a new fancy electronic boost gauge (from Prosport) that I am about to install.
http://01f6bbb.netsolstores.com/amber-white-premium-electric-boost-gauge.aspxI have read through patracy's posting on the putting the gauges on his KJ. My problem is that the wiring loom must have been moved because I cannot access the raised boss that he tapped. I am going to have to tap the intake manifold and I would like a suggestion on where the best place might be to do that.
The boost gauge installation instructions seem to assume that everyone has some existing line to 'T' into, and I certainly can't find one on the KJ (well not around the intake body).
I have a 1/8 NPT fitting (that was out of a kit for an oil line extension for another vehicle), which I have drilled out to suit the inside diameter of the boost gauge hose (1/8'). It includes an olive so I'll be bale to clamp the line with the crew on cap. No elbow though so I need to be able to route the hose in a nice arch to the firewall where the electonic sender unit is located.
Finally, what drill bit size is the best for a 1/8 NPT 27 tap?
