I came across this just a bit ago, http://www.scribd.com/doc/2640567/Jeep- ... ts-Catalog

It is a parts fiche for the 04 KJ, and it list both the 2.5 and 2.8 engines. I know these are probably the European models.

The interesting part are the fuel components for the diesel versions. When I enter these parts into moparpartsamerica.com, it shows up just like everything else. Can we order these Euro parts?

According to the VIN, my Jeep's Assembly Plant is "W." Where else were these things built besides Toledo?

All KJ were built at Toledo with VIN digit of "W".

You can enter any part number into the lookup of moparpartsamerica.com and it will give you the description/pricing. However, when you actually try to order it, they should come back to you and inform that the part number is designated for BUX (export) only and not allowed for sale in the USA.

What if I order with an English Accent?

would the fuel manager and lift pump from a 2004 fit ours? I hear that the 2002-2004 KJ CRD had a Recor fuel head and in tank lift pump.

The first-pass filtering capability of the Racor wasn't as good as the Ufi filter that was OEM on the later KJs, hence the change.

IIRC, the in-tank pump on the early (02-04) KJ either ran only at key-on for priming, or the high-pressure pump was different and didn't have the low-side gear drive suction. My memory escapes me right now, don't remember the exact scenario.

I don't buy it, mine is a 2 micron filter, '05+ have an 8micron (OEM). I think BOSCH offered Chrysler a killer deal on crappy filterunits and therefore they dropped the Racor.

Bosch is completely uninvolved in the filtering components, the 05-up filter is made by Ufi Filters.
