I emailed the guy back after he sent me that quote and told him I didn't think that would work on the CRD. he apoligized and said I was right and he forgot to double check the specs for that lift. He admitted he it will not work as we know. Now he is saying the most afordable option is daystar. Daystar is a spacer AKA body lift with better rear shocks. Not sure I will be happy with that.

A body lift is impossible on a KJ.

ok maybe that's not the correct term. they are raising it by putting spacers in the suspension. that is not the same as the OME spring lift where the springs are taller thus making the jeep sit higher.

I researched for a long time before I settled on the Frankenlift II Premium. True, it is pretty expensive, but I think it is the best-designed package out there. The installation was straightforward with no surprises. The CRD drives well on and off-road. I got an increase of ground clearance from about 6 1/2" to nearly 9", which is what the vehicle sorely needed. The only penalty is a decrease in average fuel economy of about 10%, but I now have a 4WD that actually is capable of use on some pretty severe trails and backcountry conditions. I plan to keep my CRD for a very long time--I like it, it's paid for, and there is nothing currently available in a diesel in this country to replace it--so I felt the cost of the Frankenlift was worth it to get what I needed.

Local guy in S.E PA sells KJ lifts and he's probably about an hour and a half away from you. Unknown if these adjustable struts would work on the CRD but I asked for more information. I have seen these adjustable struts at the local show on a gasser and they look very nice. Any one running these yet?

http://jeepinbyal.com/JBA-Adjust-A-Strut.aspx

I would assume they could adjust for the extra weight of the CRD but would they be almost fully compressed at that point, or does he offer a more stought spring for the CRD's like OME...

Have another look at the Adjust-a-struts. In the dropdown box it says 'CRD..add $85' something like that.

So yes, the JBA struts will fit, they will come with CRD rated springs.

To the OP, Daystar works on the CRD, but don't get the 2", go for the 2,5" kit. I had the 2" and it makes your front end rockhard. No fun at all.

Tony I think I just want to save for OME springs and OME or other shocks and struts. I have Boilers top plates from the secret santa and would like to use those too.

Good for you, you'll love them. And you can do a setup like I have on mine. BIG CRD!

I didn't see anyone else mention this one from Rocky-Road. http://www.rocky-road.com/kjsus.html I'm hoping to go with this one in a few months. Just wanted to throw it out there.

I see the A arms they sell are simular to Al's but priced lower.
