I have the 4.5's if I remember right. The real problem, I guess, was that the driver side spring is bowed out a little. They think if they take 2 of the 3 clevis spacers out that would fix it. It's still in the shop! I won't get it back until Tuesday. :(

make sure they check the coil iso's, unless something weird has occured with your coils, i have 3 nuts of clevis with the ome hd's and 4.5's with un-cut pockets and can fit the shaft of a large screw driver easily all the way around between the coil and the UCA at droop with no tire like you stated

at one point when I was initially assembling the coils and shocks the bottom iso jumped around during compression and i had to undo everything because the misalignment caused the coil to bow out

i certainly hope it's something that easy

Mine just started hitting it in the last month and I've had my OME/clevis done for over a year, but I'll keep following this thread to see if removing yours help the problem and also, please post up what Marlin say's about it too.

What height are you sitting at? middle of wheel to bottom of flare Terry
I have ran as many as 6 conduit nuts and a 3/8 top plate with no problems like that ??
Drivers side is always closer , thats why its harder to install , closer tolerances

Found my thumping noise today when the transfercvase exploded at 60mph.

Again another reason why I LOVE this pile.

funny how the same tcase with 250,000 miles in my cherokke trail rig never had an issue, nor has the one in my other cherokee. Or the aluminum ford 1350 that was in all 3 of my old BII's, the liberty doesnt see anything near what my trail rigs see and I have NEVER had an issue with any tcases aside from the one in my new trailrig that got craxcked becuase the driveshaft slip yoke siezed up.

Lets face it, this thing is the biggest pile of crap I have ever owned. Maybe not yours or his, or hers ect, but this p[articular one is a pile.

Those BW t-cases in the Fords are some of the strongest chain t-cases out there.

It's still at the shop! This shop only has 2 people in it and the one working on mine caught the flu and was hospitalized. The latest is that it would be ready today. But each day the owner says "it will be ready tomorrow". When it gets finished and time to pay up there is going to be a lot of words being said about the final amt. due! There had better be a substantial discount.

I was lucky enough to find a tcase for $70 at a junkyard with less miles than mine.

Pciked up a couple front driveshafts while I was there too.

they have 7 liberties that were turned in for cash for clunkers so tons of parts.

I left the front shaft out today and drove it. all my vibes from the tcase are gone now but I still have a bad thumping in the right front. I dint get any viberations from it just a thumping noise. I moved tires around and it stayed in the same spot so it almost has to be a cv joint or a wheel bearing. It doesnt sound like any wheel bearing ive heard before but I have replaced 2 of them already that had play in them.

Here is the latest on this ongoing saga!

The spring was bowed out because the rubber piece that the spring sets on was destroyed. Half of it was gone! That forced the spring to not set level, it bowed. That in turn wore out the rubber bushings on top of the shock. In others words all that was good was the spring and shock.

Just to add, Ive only got 2 conduit nuts for the clevis lift and my stock a arms are less around an 1/8in from hitting the springs. It was so close that I made some customs stops to keep the arms from hitting the springs if I suddenly came off the ground(Naww, I would never jump it :))
