The cel popped last week. I checked the codes which are P1140 and P1140 P. I checked the FCV by unplugging the CAC hose and it was jammed open. Tried cleaning it and I made it move freely. Codes are still there after unplugging the battery for a night. What is the problem? I think according to what I read I should go with the FCV. How hard is it to change?

Thanks.

It sounds exactly like what happened to me. It's pretty easy to change. Take off the intercooler hose, unplug the sensor, and it's just four screws.

No, I didn't have that, but the engine shook harder when I turned it off.

Did your cel reset itself or did you reset it yourself after changing the throttle control? Also, how much was it for the FCV? In Montreal, they want 600$can (don't forget the exchange rate is about 0.94$ compare to usd)

That cost may be for the entire EGR assembly in addition to the FCV, if you're buying from the dealer. Get them to give you a list of part numbers and post them here.

I noticed on your profile you have a lot of fancy mods, perhaps you have missed two of the most important ones: Disabling the egr & ehm or similar. save yourself much grief down the road and mod it for reliability, cause all that fancy stuff ain't worth a hoot if it runs like crap! (or not at all) :2cents:

600$ is for the FCV alone, mopar parts america is asking for 260$ same part!!!! I asked for the p/n to the dealer so it's not an assembly. As for the fancy mods, I have a racor CCV3500 to filter/trap the fumes from the ccv. I didn't disabled the EGR because I thought it could be good to burn a bit of crap if one day (and they're talking about it soon) the government of Quebec is deciding to do like Ontario and put yearly emission tests. How about clearing the cel, is the best way to disconnect the battery for 2 hours?
