I recently started getting this code and it will put the libby in limp mode which is terribly irritating.
I also recently did the provent mod and wondered if this is related to the code?
Maybe the MAP needs replaced? Where is the MAP anyway?

MAP sensor: viewtopic.php?f=98&t=22630

List of DTC's shows P0069 as "P0069-BOOST KEY-ON RATIONALITY" which would make me look at the vacuum module. It is what you hear buzzing after you turn off the engine, storing vacuum to actuate the turbo vanes the next time you start the Jeep. Here is a list of the codes: viewtopic.php?f=98&t=40073

Here is another thread you may want to look at: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=50358

On the left rear of the intake is the MAP. Pull it and clean. When mine got plugged up when still under warranty the dealer replaced it. I been running the ORM since and now stays clean. If that don't work for you, replace the sensor on the side of the airbox in front of the MAF.

the code reader clearly said "P0069-Barometric pressure" something. It said nothing like Boost Key so i'm not sure what to think here.
Not trying to argue but i read the code and description and wrote it down.

So running the ORM helps keep the MAP clean? I too was running the ORM untill i started going into limp mode recently...fuel leak code following a filter change so i tightened the filter and solved that problem and now this MAP code.

I don't run the ORM, but since they brought in ULSD, mine has been staying pretty clean. First cleaning was all gunked up. Checkedit 10K miles later and it was fine. Only difference was fuel.

P0069 is 99% of the time caused by the intake air pressure sensor located on the side of the airbox. It's usually attributed to either the connector being unplugged (it's not a robust latching mechanism) or the sensor being bad. If it were an issue of the boost pressure sensor having drifted you'd have other issues as well.

Poster bugnout basical says the same thing as I have found out about ULSD.

Also recommend cleaning the boost sensor as described in the tech section. doesn't gum up as bad with the ULSD, but if it is dirty, you may see some performance gains once its clean and working properly.

Cheers.

*******EDIT******* Another thing that just came to me was that I quit overfilling the oil because I was using the mismarked dipstick for a guide. Stopping the overfilling, paired with the ULSD use is probably the cause of the no longer gummed up MAP.

There is a pictorial in the tech section. Basically, it is left of the fuel filter and a little forward as you stand in front. Take off the engine cover, and follow the wire loom thingy shaped like a "Y" towards to back. Look under the right branch of this "Y".

I think red diesel is low sulfer... 500 ppm

Right on!! Recently a bunch of owners seem to be experiencing this same issue. That little sensor malfunctioning can cause limp mode on its own. It is in the lid of the airbox, right next to the boost hose. It has a Mercedes-Benz logo on it

Good luck. I use brake cleaner to clean mine. It evaps fast and leaves no residue.

my confusion comes when u say "in the air box"... I don't understand, this does not look like any kind of "airbox". I found the sensor as the pics showed on the driver side close to the fuel filter...nothing resembling an airbox there?

The MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor and the intake air pressure sensor are two different sensors, somehow this thread diverged into two different ones being discussed.

The wiring on the intake pressure sensor is flimsy, it would be easy to dislodge it when changing the air filter. Checking that one is your next stop. If you're standing in front of the Jeep looking at the engine bay, it would be on the right side of the airbox lid.

If you look in the second picture, you can barely see the intake pressure sensor on the airbox just under the aluminum A/C line and just above the turbo-to-intercooler boost hose. Also it is a good picture of the MAP sensor location.

The wiring being bad on that one little out-of-the-way sensor can send your Jeep into limp mode.

*EDIT* Here's another thread to check out. Different codes, similar symptoms. Keep in mind that the CRD doesn't always communicate well with code readers.
