By chance did you hit a decent size bump when this happened???
I had something similar to this a couple times before I figured out that one of the front shocks on my pickup needed to be replaced. When the tire hit the bump it started bouncing and didn't stop. It resulted in the truck and especially the steering wheel to start to vibrate violently. The only way to make it go stop vibrating was to slow right down and all but stop.
Just a thought.
Nope I didn't hit any bumps, the road was perfectly flat. So I just had him replace the pads and rotors, and I guess I will just wait and see if it does it again. Those pads were like paper thin, he said I was like 2 or 3 days from metal on metal! He couldn't get it to do it again, and I drove it for a bit and couldn't get it to do it again. So Im just gonna play the waiting game and see what happens.
