Anyone have any experience with FilterMAG? I did a search on this and didn't get much. I was thinking of purchasing the one for the engine oil filter but also noticed there's one for the tranny. Let me know what you guys think.

I put one on a Rebuilt engine - because I assumed it could have loose particles

- I never cut the filter open to see if it worked - it was just an insurance policy

I don't think it would make much of difference if the engine's already broken in.

I think they work as insurance as well. Probably not needed, but what the heck. I hope to get a lot of miles out of this vehicle. I went online and purchased some strong magnets from ebay that I stick on the filter - it was a lot cheaper than the mag that you are referring to. Although I have read that they are very good...
SO, in summary, probably not needed, but will not hurt either...

It can only help. Just look at the micro particles that are stuck to your diff mag.
