I got rear ended last Friday evening and am now in the process of getting the CRD fixed. Is anyone still making a rear bumper replacement for the 2006 year Liberty?

TR sold me the last rear they had when I got mine, same situation with the front, TR isn't making ANY more front or rear bumpers for libertys

don't think arb has much interest in a rear bumper

RL is out

it kind of looks like the answer specifically for KJ's is grim

theres been atleast one or two people who've used TJ rear bumpers between the outer fascias as a steel center

but honestly, if TR still was making rear bumpers, you can get one built custom for equal to or less than what the TR front or rear cost me

if you're looking under a grand, it's going to be one of those "it's cheaper for the TJ's because of the better sellers market" and have to modify it

however.. building mounts for the rear and getting it to fit fairly well, honestly, not that daunting of a task if you have someone good with a welder and some 3/8ths or so channel steel, a bunch of cutting wheels / torch / gravity band saw

sorry your CRD got dinged!

I should have my prototype done by the end of the month, or so. I've got a little rework to do and should be ready to produce in late may. I still don't know the prices yet. Pictures will be coming out in the next couple weeks, at least of parts of it.

It is made of 1/4 aluminum plate, and thicker in some areas. Sorry I don't have more info at this time.

Base bumper will be between 700 and 1000. Fully loaded with swing out tire carrier, jerry can mount, hitch, hi-lift mount, and PIAA flush mounted rear fog lights is going to land somewhere between 1600 and 2200. The light option itself is going to be a good chunk of that due to the cost of the PIAA's.

Basically the cost is up in the air. It is not really a budget bumper, in fact it needs to go through some cost cutting because it is much more expensive than I wanted it to be. I was hoping to be able to do a fully loaded bumper for 1500.

I had a buddy of mine help me graft a smitty bilt SRC with tire carrier on to the stupid end of mine for the time being til I find something better like boilers...... We had to do a fair bit of modding to the tire carrier portion other than that we just cut the factory mounts off and made a couple new ones and welded it to the trailer hitch........ so if needs be I can drop the whole thing off.... Bumper was only like 400 but like I said it is a temp deal cause with a 265/75/R16 hanging back there I have to guess if there are people behind me or not....Unless I look through one of the holes in my rim (soft 8's come in handy)
