I buy good quality B100 and then mix with diesel usually maintaining about 5% bio concentration. This gives me the benefits of bio, without a lot of extra expense from the higher cost B100.

Yesterday i bought the last 5 gallons of B100 my supplier has. He further advised, the best case is for production and distribution to resume by late May. With the expiration of the biodiesel $1 tax credit Dec 31, he said that 80% of the nation's bio production has been halted at the cost of about 15,000 jobs. Production is limited to mandated bio consumption such as MN. My subsequent research on the web confirms this is the case.

Both the House and Senate have past extensions of the credits. Work on the extension stopped during the debate on you-know-what reform. Apparently, there is agreement that the extension will be enacted, however, such costs have to be reduced in other programs, so that is the biggest problem.

I found the same problem with my supplier, normally they start pumping the B-100 and or around march 15 but did not this year I asked the owner of the station and he told me that the highest blend for this year would be B-50 I have been running the B-100 the last 2 years and had great results. Just another example of guvment screwing withe the natural order of things and trying to micro manage society. Just one guys opinion

European consumers were prime beneficiaries of the biodiesel credit provided by US taxpayers.
