That's actually a fairly tame photo, as by the time the photo was taken Cmohr (in background) had already pulled him halfway out.

Do you plan to sell the old KJ or are you planning on keeping it for parts?

Definately selling it, cant afford to have 17000 bucks lying around in the front yard gathering dust...

I've finished taking off all the mods I did to it, just the DTT's and 4.10s left in it, and the snorkel. Need to get a price on swapping back the gears, and decide if I will romove the snorkel and fix the hole.

Then its off to Carsales fro him.

I would have thought your house was worth more than that! After all, Belafonte I is in the back yard, not the front!

Cmohr or anyone else for that matter. Did you find a solution to prevent full drop on the front control arms (thus preventing contact with the uni body). I made some rubber bump stops that slotted onto the unibody... they broke. I'm now thinking using leather not rubber to soften the impact.

Anyway I thought I'd ask if you had worked out a good solution prior to me doing this.

Well , Yes, and No..

Put Al's Upper A-arms into B1, and openned up the pockets, Plus I put a nolathane stopper on the lower part of the strut that stops the contact at the coil.

All works real well, no bang or clunks. Could drive over gutters, speed bumps, dips and big potholes at any speed , brilliant.

Have put it all in B2 now, just have to finish openning up the pockets on it. I'm doing it this weekend actually, I'll take some before and after photomografs.

Sounds good, I'd love to see the pics when you have time mate. I've been driving the KJ this week and am getting sick of the bang.. when I forget to slow down that is.

Busy weekend, couldnt actually get to the CRD to do it, Mums birthday on saturday, then of course Mothers day Sunday, But, I did take pics of what I did to B1..

I used my lttle demel type tool with a small grinding wheel and ground out the pockest to extend the clear zone.. Worked beautifully.

i the top pic, thats the front pocket, I only trimmed out where it was contacting, so you can see the high section is original and how much I ground out (basically all the way down to the frame. a good 15mm I think.

Cmohr, I thought you may like to see this.

As I've been looking at the various RC's I came across it and thought of you.

I'm still in 2 minds as what to get myself. The buggy's would be good as I could get 2 and race them with my son... but I do like the rock crawling RC's like STU's. If you have'nt seen STU's you should look on AUS Jeep... it's just amazing.
