we made this in welding a buddy started it and its taking off really well. it has a 900 susiki street bike motor, 32in rear tires we are going to put better matching tires on those are just to set on for test runs and also we are putting bigger tires on the front just have to rebuild the front end. :JEEPIN:

you mean to tell me somewhere there is a school that actually let you build something like that? must have great insurance.

When i was in higschool (95-96) The welding class / Shop class / Automotive class instructor bought a junked camaro, 73 i think it was, had us fix the body, clean and reinforce the chassis, fix the lights, strip the interior, build a roll cage, rebuild a 400, swap in gears and fix the 4 speed manual tranny

through donated parts we built a pretty dang decent drag car, those of us with waivers, health insurance and car insurance were then allowed to take it for a run down the strip

i think things may have changed since then :P

Yeah they got rid of my shop class because they needed the space for more math classrooms.......the next year they fazed out woodshop and drafting to expand the home economics class :banghead:

yea in wyoming they really havent taken that kinda stuff away because thats were most of the jobs are. in drafting welding and automotive also woodworking but the whole point of the woodworking is to go though all of the classes to get to construction tech.

we still do that in riverton in auto we are making a dirt track car. whe also made a general lee car last year when i was a freshman, i guess im pretty luckey from what i hear for some of the coments im getting from this post

so get this we lifted it 3in in the front got ready to run it, as were putting gas in it the dumb autoshop teacher comes out and starts telling us we cant drive it on school ground. O well we will just take it to the street in front of his house and drag it down his dirt road haha.
