Though we bought our Liberty new in 2002, we've just learned about the forum recently.

I'm looking forward to getting to know folks and obtaining more knowledge about what my wife affectionately calls her "Peep Jeep"...

When we purchased the Liberty, we had intentions of towing it 4 down behind our motorhome and thinking of weight issues, we bought (ducking) a 2WD. Little did I know that the weight difference isn't that much and it would have been less expensive to buy the 4x4 than to rig ours up for towing... Oh well, live and learn.

I'm not even going to ask about converting it to 4x4, I've found the cost to be astronomical. We'll just enjoy it as it is. We've found our Liberty to be a great little vehicle, having provided us with years of reliable transportation.

Welcome to the group! I towed an 02, then an 05 behind a motorhome for 6 years. We were fulltimers at that time. I miss the the motorhome a lot but now I have an 18' camper I tow with the KJ.
