Spidertrax Adapters and 17" Wheels

This is the situation...
Found some nicely priced 17" wheels on craigslist but they are from an 05 Grand so the bolt-pattern doesn't agree, sadly. I was wondering if anyone had experience with the Spidertrax adapters to change the bolt pattern so they would fit. Also, since they are 17", I was wondering if this would cause any issues in terms of tires, since I've only been looking at r16 tires and don't see many people out there with r17 on their KJ. Mine will be lifted before I think of putting these on so I imagine that helps.

Spidertrax spacers are very reliable so I wouldnt worry about them.

I run 17" rims and dont really have a problem with them but watch out how much you air them down when you go offroading bc one of my wheels popped off the bead and my tire became flat. But that was the only bad part

Before you buy look at the tire selection
kind of limited in some sizes/ kinds
also by the time you buy the wheels and then spacers you could more than likely buy other wheels that will not have to have spacers with

Had a feeling that would come into play. How much do you air down now to avoid that? Also, for your 245/65/r17's did you need to do any trimming?

Well all 5 wheels cost only $400 and are also wrapped in stock tires. Both have only seen 1.5k miles on them. While I do know I'll change the tires anyway, the TiresPlus down here offers Firestone Destination A/T's in 245/65/r17's at a good price. In the end I think it all comes to the look I'm after and I was making sure it was realistic in terms of price, and actually putting it on my Jeep. :JEEPIN:

I aired down to 12psi. But I also aired down again and went to 16-18psi I was doing the same stuff just as good with no problem.

Also no I didnt have to trim and there was only swaybar rub when I was doing a full turn backing up, but there was no dammage to the tire, it was just rubbing up there alil.

Also check tirerack.com, They have them for pretty cheap too.

if you do end up goin this direction, test fit them with the spidertrax in the front, make sure it's not hitting something immovable if it's good R&R and loctite the spidertrax to the vehicle and enjoy

i've been running my spidertrax with the stock renny rims, and steelies for about 40k or so now

spidertrax are good stuffs

Alright new theory. 17x7 but only has 4.5 backspacing. Bolt pattern is right so no worries about spacers on these. Is this possible with minimal trimming?
