My CEL came on and it gave me a code of P0138 (HO2S Circuit High Voltage Bank 1 Sensor 2). I researched it a little can found that it could be the O2 Sensor after the cat converter. I was just wondering if anyone else has ever had this error code and what they did to fix it. Thanks.

I believe you are correct that this is the O2 sesor after the cat. If your jeep is generally running fine, I'd strongly suspect a bad O2 sensor. How many miles on your girl? O2 sensors should probably be changed after 100k miles.

o2 sensors are around $30 a piece so if you've got high mileage, it probably wouldn't hurt to replace it, if not all four.

Have right around 84,000 miles right now. Is it difficult to change this sensor out?
Thanks.

I have had this for the last year on mine, they replaced the O2 sensors twice, then they said they had another vehicle with the same problem, and they had to replace the PCM. ($3000.00 Australian!!!!) On a side note, in the first 6weeks I had the car back in 2004, the same O2 sensors failed twice, replaced under warrenty then, but this PCM as a failure causing the CEL and codes???????.

I have not had it replaced PCM yet.. :furious:
