I asked the dealership and they said it was fine, then again they also installed my remote start which only works half the time.

How do i complain about a dealership while on the subject?

It gets better after you get 5K on it.......

alright so i did a midnight run to the beach and did some trekking around...casted out my pole but caught nothing... only 1 bite and a cold. it was fun airing down and hittin the sand tho...

first a few problems... ever since my last oil change my gas mileage hasn't been as good and my car has been smelling like the catalytic converter was messed up ( rotten eggs). I thought maybe it was the catalytic converter... maybe a problem with muffler cause of a weld or something... but I've been super busy( finals has driven me crazy) and haven't checked it out... well tonight I went to air up my tires and my compressor hooks up to the battery so i popped the hood. to my disbelief my oil cap was missing. I've been driving about 2000 miles now... what should i be concerned about? the pipe for the oil down was a little dirty. First thing I'm doing is going to the dealer and giving em an earful, but what should i have them check etc?

i also need to bring it in cause my window on the passenger side is acting funny... the switch isnt right

on a side note my driver side front footwell courtesy light stopped working so i have to check into that
i need to clean my truck n get some washer fluid cause my windshield is bug and sand ridden.

also got some new toggle switches i will be installed soon they got blue LEDS( i just had plain toggles)

and as soon as the POM rivet gun comes in my new light bar n tow hooks will be installed

It would be okay for spills but that seems like all it would protect against. Whoever designed the thing apparently didn't know that the rear seat folds down it two sections (it attaches to both seat sections but it isn't split). The only good thing I have to say is that at least I got it at a discount online.

I have one it actually works pretty good for me. I fix lawnmowers and haul them on the liner it has held up well. But I thought it would be like the slush mats, which would be better.

That is good to hear. Thanks for sharing your experience with the cargo liner. I'd really like to be wrong on this. I've been thinking about trying to apply a rubber backing to it to add strength. I haven't found a way to do that yet. I also think I an going to cut it (carefully) so that it is split just like the folding rear seats.

Finally installed my radiator skid plate. This is really a super easy install. It took a while to get the nutserts needed (I refused to pay $6 each at the stealership). I got them from moparpartsamerica.com along with some otherstuff. This was a lot cheaper.

Now that I have all of the skid plates, I guess it's time to put them to good use! :JEEPIN: :D

Oil changed regularly.

Do you mean the spark plugs?

yes digger means check the spark plugs... reason being is if the gapping is off or there are any other defects your gas mileage will generally be noticeable different... worth a try especially since it takes about 15-20 min to do... im pretty sure its a 5/8 deep socket

Yep. If one is gaped wrong or if one is "running cold" it will kill mileage. The plugs are meant to be changed at 30K, but there are a lot of use that do them at 15K.........

I am not very knowledgeable in mechanics but i can put back together anything i can take apart...usually. I change my brakes and rotate tires that's about it... electronics are my thing lol... You will see my car soon :) Need to put the new lights in first.

Also what is "Gapped" what am i looking for as far as quality?

By the way how the *&^^&* do you guys get 19-24 miles per gallon. Unless my odometer lies i have never gotten over 17 and thats 95% highway. (i reset the meter and do the math at fill up time) I put it 16.4 gallons today and i had 280 miles on the meter.

I don't know what to tell you. I don't have the cool center console like the Limited guys do, I just do my own math. I come up with 18.6 Hwy on this last trip to from IN back here to VA. That's with ALOT of roof gear and the new AT's! Before that, with just some gear on top and the hwy tires (smaller size) I was at 17.5 (hwy).

Size is everything. -lol (ie, by going to a larger tire you are effectively "gearing up", therefore if conditions are not severly changed (knobby tread, TOO big a size, etc) then you should get a slight increase in hwy mileage.)

Installed new heavier duty and thicker bumpstops and STILL get driveshaft/tank skid contact. Guess im gonna take the skid off and beat the ever living shat out of that corner til there is no more contact. I just wanna be able to wheel over the extended weekend. Then Ill be finding a local driveshaft shop to give me a quote for a high clearance shaft. The Tom Woods shaft seems kinda steep at $600 so we'll see. Hopefully then ill get rid of some of this bumpstop and allow for more flex. Til then Ill just stay aggravated.

organized the truck today, also fixed up the mesh grille. I also installed my new toy. I got a Maglite 6 D-cell flashlight with a terraluz 3 watt LED conversion kit. It's awesome, mounted it directly under my rear cargo shelf. Kicks the crappola out of my LED 3 cell AA Maglite.

tomorrow is supposed to rain but i'm tryign to finish my final copy of the skyslider deflector to be installed, and Friday I'm busy so notihng will likely get done... but Saturday my truck will for sure be getting a bath and maybe see some... won't be a 6 hour session like a full out detail but maybe a 3.5. Anyways I'm incredibly happy with how everything has come out so far... now its just some finishing touches etc.... I'm also looking forward to my next beach trip. I want my buddy ( who's a little cocky) to get stuck in his toyota 4-runner. I'll be sure to snap some pics when i pull out the snatch strap haha
