Found some cheap 265/75/16 MTs on craigslist. Figured I would pick em up and try em out before I decide on what size tires and whether I want MT or AT in the future when I purchase new.

Wrestled the tank skid out from under the Jeep, what a pain in the arse. Beat the crap out of the corner that the driveshaft hit, hopefully won't be having any more problems from that.

Got the radiator skid on with the Detours Backbone. Just some widening holes and prying into place. Of course I totally forgot to take pics of the process for part of the how to. Does anybody know what size the hardware is for connecting the radiator skid to the engine skid? or a part number?

Can't wait for some wheeling and extended weekend. :JEEPIN:

Leave it to Digger to find all the info I need, always the man. What do you use to find all this info?

Just got back from a good wheeling trip. The JBA feels WAY better off road and on road then the Rock Krawler lift. My only gripe is that there is a hollow thumping/clunking noise coming from the rear end. Which Im assuming is the trackbar. E2 also mentioned he had the noise a while back but I didnt think I did, til I got a good trip in. Right now Im contemplating having the factory trackbar lengthened and seein if the noise is still present. Also still get the driveshaft contact. Its ever so slight and only when i have some major weight put on the rear left so I suppose I will live with it. Im still gonna price one locally though to try and get the rear some more flex, the rear just doesnt stuff enough. :( Or maybe I should just run 33s to compensate.

Finally took the KK out for some wheeling. Did a couple trails up near Georgetown. Argentine Pass was pretty snowy 4-5 miles up the trail so I came down and went up Saxon Mtn. Road on the other side of town. Beautiful day for it. I'll be posting a couple pics soon. Might also be able to add a couple pics to the Flex thread

All I know is now after 1-2 runs this year, more money from the jeep gods would be lovely for some new toys

My experience wheelin' the KK is that if you're really wheelin' and take some hits, or bottom out, on the gas tank skid, it will bend upward in the center (from all the vehicle weight pushing downward against whatever you've hit). This will cause the edges to flare outward, including the corner that can hit the driveshaft (at least when the rear axle is flexed down). Let us know if you come up with any more "permanent" fix. Good luck.

Nice pictures! I haven't even tried mountin trails yet because I thought things would still be snow packed. It looks like you found some good clear trails so I guess I better start looking! :JEEPIN: :D

Did my second oil change today. Installed my Fumoto valve to replace the drain plug (no more mess!!!) Was able to change the filter without removing my skid plates but what a PITA! :banghead: I really need to find a good place to relocate the filter.

Saturday night I spent 2 hours and installed the RRO adventure rack. :) The install was easy enough, I do have to go back and adjust the nuts on the U-bolts to even out the rack a little. Unfortunately I only received 2 of the 6 bolts  that are use to stop the bars from slipping out, so off to the hardware store....hoping to get them in black and replace the nuts in black as well .

As others have mentioned I didn't receive instructions either. I'm happy with the rack, next will be roof lights but I only have two inches of clearance room left to get in and out of my underground garage.

Yeah, I think things a bit closer into Denver are fairly ok right now. There was a bit of snow encountered on that trail near the top, and of course Argentine Pass was pretty deep over most of the trail 4 miles up, but overall I think within the next 2-3 weeks alot of these trails should be good to go!

Anyone in the denver area who's doing any trail running on the weekends feel free to hit me up cause I don't really know too many of the trails out here thus far, and I also probably shouldn't be going out on my own all the time.

Mtnlvr - Sorry! Is it a good enough excuse to move? :)

Don't worry Digger... You'll be home soon... and I'm also now in Scotland for the next week, so I won't be back for a bit either to do anything picture worthy. Not quite as flat as Denmark, but only small rolling hills where I am. And next to no Jeeps!!

I have yet to see any thing that doesn't look like a pregnant roller skate on the road over here :juggle:
