Jdorris, I don't find this thread to be in such bad shape. There have been way worse.

I don't think it would hurt if the US would 'change' a little. Somehow gasoline powered V8's grew into your DNA or something, monstrously big engines using enormous amounts of fuel. (with very little output, but that is a European point of view and therefore maybe not relevant)
Now don't tell me that is just the way it is. And that no one can change that. (No matter where they are)
The KJ CRD was a good start imo.
PS: I know...there are V8's with a 1000bhp. But you don't find those in an everyday Ford now do you...
