Well, another one bites the dust.
While washing the jeep today I noitced a few drips.
I thought, "ok, its probably just water dripping off it"
I move the kj back to its normal spot on the sided of the drive way, it keeps dripping.
Not worried yet, its still drying.
2 hours later, its dripping still. I start the kj, it leaks even faster.
Now I'm angry. Don't need a busted rad a week before jeep beach.
I take the fan off, try to clean it while I'm at it.
I look over the radiator and see nothing.
I squeeze the top hose and I hear a gurgling coming from the passenger side of the radiator under the side cap thingy.
Check the tank, about an inch and a half of coolant is in there, so, there essentially nothing in it.
Put the fan back on, lay under the jeep looking for where its coming from, can't find a source.
no hoses are leaking, water pump is good, it seems like its leaking from no where.
Now I am pissed. There has never been any water or mud get into the radiator. Well, except for rain and some on the rad when I wash the jeep. But its cool when I wash it.
This radiator was put in, brand new when my engine was installed, back in january.
Why would it be leaking AGAIN????
The last radiator did the same thing before the engine died. But there was always coolant in the last one. The only time it leaked all the coolant out when the engine blew was 2 days AFTER the engine did blow.
Is my jeep just cursed for bad radiators for life or something??
Would there possibly be a warranty on this radiator??
I need a new one before next weekend, I need it replaced asap.
where did you get the Rad from, and who did the install? IIRC all Mopar parts installed by the dealership have a 1 year waranty. That's how I repalced all my window regulators until the last one.
