thats what i thought tjkj... i know its only rated at 5000 pounds but then i thought well if i got stuck, I partially rely on that as a recovery point and i expect to be able ot be recovered from there as well as my front hooks. i mean i know you get winces of higher rating so they can handle the stress. as far at the approach and departure angles well i would only put it in if i needed it... keep it in the trunk and if i got stuck hook it up. as far as the heavy guage wire is concerned i do agree that would be a pain. almost worth buying another battery at that rate and then just charging it when i need it. guess it was an idea... maybe if i ever need a light weight winch in the future.... thanks
