Need some help choosing I want a tire to fit underneath a OEM lifted CRD with a Boiler and 3 ring clevis lift up front and a 2 top iso and one bottom iso in the rear. And was looking for ideas I like 245/70/17 size for fuel milage. So here where some tires i found in those size Bridgestone A/T, ATP, M/T, Firestone Destination M/T, Cooper Discoverer ST/L or STT, General Grabber A/T2, Nitto Terra Grappler, Kuhmo Road Venture A/t, Toyo Open Country A/t, BFG A/T KO, Yokohama Geolander A/T, Hankook Dynapro ATM. I have been reserching for about a month now and have narrowed it down. I just need some help taking the next step in finally choosing and buying. If yall have anymore ideas I will put them on my list also.

I hear great things about the BFG KM and KM2, I personally want the Hankook Dynapro MTs, but im stuck rolling on these MTRs for the moment.

I am really liking the Cooper Discoverer STT I can get them for like 10 more then the BFG A/T KOs and they look so much more aggressive. But right now i am down to wieght price and customer reviews to decide. But were better to get tire reviews then from people who drive exactly the same vehicals as you. And i am worried about looks and road noise and off road capability all of the best things about the Coopers in every review i have read.

I'm confused. You said something about fuel mileage, then you said you liked the most aggressive mud tire that you listed. :?: Those don't go together.

I know but I can always dream but I am pretty sure I am going with the Cooper ST. Yes i know the Cooper STT are the most agressive but they aren't extremely heavy either. No where near as heavy as the BFG MT KM2 and only like 10 dollars more for a full set. But those will have to be my dream tire for now and i will go with the Cooper ST. Does anyone on here have any experience with these tires ?

Did you check out the Cooper ST/C's? Theyre a little better for off road traction than the regular ST

The main differencewith the ST/Cs is just thier compound. It is Coopers chip resistant compound which adds wieght but the tread blocks are designed exactly the same as the ST. There is about 2 pounds difference per tire and about 10 to 15 dollars in price. I just need a nice riding trail tire that i can use as a daily driver and have complete confidence in.

Well I ran the Discoverer ATR's and they're great on the trail. Great on the road in rain and very well in snow, and look good, have a little off-road hummm like the aggressive tires, and honestly they kinda look a little aggressive too if you put the white lettering in. All the while their about 30$ cheaper. A couple guys on JeepKJCounty Forum have them and are very pleased. I would still have them in 245/75 if I didnt get basically a donated set of MTR's

So did you go with the coopers? If so which ones and how do you like them and what is their off/on road performance? My intention is not to barage you with questions, but I am actually looking at the cooper tires and would appreciate your opinion if you have them. Thanks
