Every ARB I've ever seen for a KJ was over $1,000 just for the bumper alone. Crazy.

The ARB is only for people who deal drugs and/or found a winning lottery ticket.

Get into your shop and start fabbing up something like an ARB bumper, I've done plenty of that kind of work so I can tell you my ARB bumper was a bargain. Sure, you or your cousin can probably hang some 10" channel iron on your Liberty, maybe even make it look good eventually, but what will it weigh? How much will it cost if you actually pay someone (with money instead of beer) to do the work?

So how does the ARB differ from all the other bumpers I've seen that cost 40% less?

It is airbag certified, meaning it was crash tested to meet US safety specs, not cheap to do.Better looking also, actually looks "right" when installed with rounded corners instead of sharp corners(rounded corners cost big $$$).For the '02-'04 crowd it's also a big plus that the OEM trurn signals and fog lamps can be re-used.

And you say you've seen the ARB for less than a grand? But that was not for the '05-'07, right?

My ARB was $600 brand new,at the time the '05-'07's was $800.Inflation has raised the price for the '05-'07's to $1000 now.

Good luck, you will have to custom make it yourself. That KJ was crushed as it had no VIN.

That just tells me that it can be copied without worry of being sued!

Couldn't one easily reproduce those wings and attach to a Rocklizard center section?
