That's some quality looking work. I do hope that Kevin finds the market he needs to develop a kit to SFA a KJ. I know I'd like one.

Great job and way nice KJ Scott.

Still no updates? Looking forward to seeing pic's and hearing more about the SFA conversion. I was thinking about trading my KJ in for something different and now maybe I might just do the swap, myself(well actually have Kevin do it).

Something tells me a magazine picked up the build and asked that no further pictures be posted.

i saw a post about pulling the abs pump fuse and still having speedo function. of course your speedo still works that fuse only powers the pump. it does not stop the sensors from talking to the computer. just keeps your pump from working.this is how it works. sensors tell the computer wheel speed. the computer tells the abs pump which wheel it needs to apply more or less braking power to. sfa speedo problems can be solved with a drill and a tap and dye set. i imagine.?

That will only work with '06+ KJ's but not if you remove any of the 4 wheel speed sensors, does not apply with '02-'05 KJ's with or without ABS if you remove the stock rear diff.

Should be driving the rig this weekend to Cottonwood, AZ for the AZ Trick-or-Jeep Run. Be on the lookout! Sorry no updated pics yet, insurance has some due to hail damage from the storm that came through PHX on Oct 5th. Rear sway bar was the last thing added and completed last week. Now the roof basket gets reinstalled with new quick disconnect light connectors and the air tank will get charged as well. Looking forward to the maiden voyage with her, even though it will still be on small tires till the new tires get in.

Well the rig is back home in Yuma. Rides great, feels great, sounds great with the magnaflow exhaust. However, the exhaust has caused one problem as you'll see later below. It was routed in a way that now heats up the u-joints on the front drive shaft and causes the grease to thin out and fling all over the place. As a result it starts to squeel and squeek. So I've ordered some exhaust heat wrap and wrap coating and will cover the exhaust. I'll also get some high-temp grease for the drive shaft and re-grease the u-joints and drive shaft. Other then that issue the Jeep is great. It sits level, tracks great, and doesn't have much body roll with the rear sway bar and stiff front end (or at least its stiff now since it is new). Looking forward to the new tires and wheels and she'll be ready to go.

if you kept the 8.25 in the rear and still had those speed sensors could you maybe duplicate the signal from the rear and make the computer think its from the front sensors, maybe as easy as splicing some wires?

Cost = too much to want to think about it again, I'd rather get the Ferrari, just kidding.

As for the exhaust my heat wrap and high temp coating came in today from Thermo-tec and looking forward to getting that installed tomorrow. 2nite was adding the JBWeld and letting it cure overnight.

Updates to come and a buildsheet to be posted seperately once time permits.
