Ok keep us updated. I think I would like one of these. I've been changing diesel engine oil for years even before the Liberty and yes it is some NASTY stuff. This sounds like a great idea and I already have the skid plate (it was the FIRST thing I bought after I got my KJ). I'm going to search the net and try to find some pics of what this valve looks like.
Go here FUMOTO

Thanks OldNavy, I'll definitely be getting one of these. I'm going to do oil analysis on my Liberty and these things make doing that a breeze!

Have you thought about developing a CCV filter like you did with the VW TDI's? I had one on my TDI and really liked it.

I am currently in development stage with outfit in CA that may be making one, and it may even be simpler then the one for TDI. At present they are researching two designs and legal side of this gizmo. I sure hope it works out and they do the deed, it will be introduced here first if it happens.

I'm ready to do my third. :D Waiting on this valve though so I can do it all at the same time...

As of yesterday, Greg (at the place that's our contact for these valves) said that he expects them to be ready as of late next week. So I'm assuming that's around the 17th of March.

So these Fumoto valves for our CRD will be ready for purchase as of next Thursday?? Is that correct?

Any chance we can get new pictures of the oil pan? The two previous links are dead...

:)

And they are not in Google cache either...

I am getting URL not found errors trying to access any of your pages, both from home (Comcast Cable) and from my office (Qwest T1). So there is something wrong somewhere...

I was sent the pics, and I uploaded them to imageshack - maybe that will help if anyone else is having the same problem I am having.

Strange, doesn't look like you could ever get a real good drain on that one...

The link has been fixed. Sorry about that, but I'm in bed sick today. Chest & head cold along with sinus troubles. Again already.

Ok slightly confused. I see the inside shots of the oil plug, but on the outside or 3rd shot the bolt/plug doesnt look like it matches up with the other 2 pics???

That plug is off the end of theoil filter system. Great place to get the oil for a bypass filter. We will be working on that as soon as we get the pan back.
