Anyone know if the front factory skid will bolt to the 4x2?

Does it look like this one:

http://www.skidplates.com/front_skid_plates_02_KJ.htm

They claim the skid row will bolt up.

I can see the use for it after mastering a 55 degree hill climb today with Mesquite, sticks, & stones.

Oh yeah, thats at normal tire pressure.

Boy, I'd like to find a tire that could stand up to a mesquite thorn.

Should fit just fine. It bolts to the suspension, so it being a 4x2 doesnt change anything.

Don't have pics but my stock front skid has held up fine to many hits against nice big rocks. That SR version is pricey! Nice, but sheesh!

There are two versions of the mopar skid in that part number. The new one covers more area and replaced the old one.

http://jeep.autowebaccessories.com/stor ... 0_1568.php

I wanted to know if the mopar version is upswept and extends as far foward as the SR.

Kinda like a slider.

Thanks for yall's help. I'll take any pics

The bottom one is the mopar suspension skid (Mine are painted gray) the left of the picture is the front of the skid, it hasan upward bend, but not as far forward as the Skid row version.

As JJ said, these mopar ones may not look like much, but they do their job well, you do not need a $250 front skid.
BTW
I do have a brand new one for sale, it has no hardware though. PM me if intersted.

Ted

I really Appreciate the pics and the offer. I'm gonna go to IPAC and get it with the Military discount. Let them eat the shipping. That looks like a hellofa deal for the price.

I do believe its durable enough for my purpose if it worked for you "rock" folks.

Even if it ain't the updated model, its good enough.

Thanks a bunch

Anyone fabbed up a cover plate so the big hole does not ingest debris? I did some "test" trail riding yesterday evening and that center hole really scoops in the mud from the ridge between tire ruts.

Here we go with the different part#s again

I found on another thread: 52128925AC is $28 and 82209026 out of the accy catalog is $49

I got it ordered...27.09 after tax and discount...PU Thursday

Again like the tranny skid....Same weight, diff nomenclature.

I can use regular aftermarket hardware like I did on the tranny skid right?
