No but you do get substandard living conditions pay :P

Actually she's been sticking it all in the bank (minus her tuition...convinced her to go work on her masters instead of going on shopping sprees!)...which means I'm getting play toys this spring! Haven't quite decided if I want to put too much money into the KK though. I've been toying with the idea of getting an old CJ or wrangler as a play toy and use the KK as my daily driver/off-road trip vehicle.

I've never got that, or heard of it? Maybe its called something else?? :|

We get hardship duty pay which is 100 and hostile fire pay another 225/month and then also family seperation, which I'm not married or have kids.

From what I've seen, AFSOC actually gets hosed compared to other AF AEFs. We work every day and 12 hour shifts. Big blue get sundays off and work 8 hour shifts in the AOR. We also work with minimal manning unlike other AEFs that deploy everybody at once.

Flushed cooling system. 63,000 miles I felt that it needed to be done. I don't care what the manual says.

Removed all roof gear, installed Thule "Spirit" aero box instead. More space, lower profile, totally free. Other than that, got a new windshield installed today. Looking to do lights on the roof rack again. Lower profile, this time.

My Jeep sure does like to break stuff. Pretty sure I got a bad intermediate shaft/cv or something. Maybe I wheel to much in this terrible swampy and sandy Florida terrain. :juggle:

Just installed 3" Zone bump stops with carriage bolts so I wont tear up the stock upper bump stops. However the stock bump stops are so soft and compress so much I still get tire rubbing all over in the wheel well. I could add a little more spacer but I dont want too much cause I dont want the bump stops hitting every time I drive down the road. If I adjust the track bar to the left a little it might alleviate some of it but then I will probably have drive shaft and gas tank skid contact. I need to get off my lazy arse and measure all the requirements for a Tom Woods. Which im about to remove the DS anyway so I can cut the lip off the tank skid that gets caught and reweld it. It would be nice to have the measurements to compare so I know they're correct, Calling Digger!!

OK im done rambling, gonna go play a little bit of HALO Reach.

New to the forum so I guess this is as good a time to introduce my Jeep!

I have owned my 2008 KK Sport for about a year now and love it! All modifications are recent so I will just list them:

I custom built a speaker box (nucklheads at audio shop wanted 200$ to build same thing)
Had Hankook dynapro M/Ts, sized 245/75/16
Just recieved my Daystar lift (need new shocks before install)
Receiver hitch

Black Headlight Housings and new tires/wheels... 255/70/16 Kumho KL78 ATs and 16x8" Cragar V-5s..

Going to install the Daystar spacers next, then order some shocks and a PowerTraxx locker so I can take the little 4x2 some fun places. Also going to tint the front corners, reflectors, tail lights and 3rd brake light.

In the future, a Flowmaster 44 muffler, home made CAI and thats about it.

had to use the winch a few times on todays off road excursion. a strap was hardly working and took too much effort and to prevent tearing anything up we just stuck with the winch.

where my buddy got stuck, he suck a little deeper in the water after the pic cause he dug himself a hole.

this creek crossing my buddy made it through alright, hes got a little more capable rig of course. i try going through it and get caught up on a tree lug under the muck. then ended up getting stuck in more of this sloppy mud.

Noticed my cruise control was working a little wonky, so I took it into the stealership, had them break out the starscan and voila bad switch. Only took the guy 6 minutes to switch it out and test it. Actually had a good experience there for once... Oh yeah, and passed 19000 miles yesterday.

my cruise control isn't working either. i dont feel like going to Huntingon jeep stealership to pay a fortune to fix it. its not worth it. how much did it cost?

It was actually covered under the factory warranty, so the only thing it cost me was a little bit of gas.

The service technician was kinda hinting towards bumping it with my knee when I was getting in and out of the vehicle, but uh... I'm 5'9 and not a gigantic guy by any means, and don't recall ever nailing it with any of my bodily appendages. But anywho install time took less than 6 minutes, and it was covered under the factory warranty still. I'll be back over in the 'sandbox' when my factory warranty expires, so figured I should take it in now.

Added some new interior objects.. Gathering the cash for the new upgrades to the intake and exhaust. Want to do that both at once. :2cents:

Weather Pro Jeep® Logo Floor Mats
Husky Rear Floor Liners
Jeep® License Plate Frame in Stainless Steel

Jeep came with no floor mats and it is time to remove the dealer frames... So much to do..
