Well I pulled the rear driveshaft and the front joint appears to be in great shape. The rear joint is smooth on one axis, tight on the other.

So we pulled that joint and checked it... all needle bearings are perfect and grease looks clean. Put it back together and it's tight in one direction again, smooth in the other. So we tap on the cross with a chisel and hammer and it losens up, but now the other axis is tight.

So after tapping the cross some more, we get it to where both axis are freely moving. What the crap? These were the Precision U-joints... I thought they were supposed to fit perfect and be high quality? In any case... I will road test it tomorrow to see if the vibration is now gone. I'll bet that was the problem though... U joint got out of wack somehow. I don't know how.
As far as the front shaft.. I have NO boot on the t-case side. Are you guys sure that I'm supposed to have a boot on the t-case end? There is a boot on the diff. end...but that's all.
