I am back to looking at lifting again this time I think I am closer to doing it. what I don't know is should I get the OME CRD spring lift and just add the Boiler's top plates I got in last years secret santa or is it worth it to go with a full Franky? I dont know what extra comes with the franken lfit deal that may be worth it for the extra money other than some pre-assembly and hardware I maybe able to reuse off mine. I kinda need some help and guidence here so I can plan and budget the whole thing and get it right.

Basically the Franky is plug and play, unbolt yours and bolt the Franky in. If you have access to a shop that can compress the 790s then just buy springs/ shocks and be done.
The 790s are tough to compress for sure,
as far as the top plate just remember you can't lift a CRD as high as a gasser so you may want to install the springs then see where you are after it settles in good.

cool so I don't want to use the top plates even if thats only a fraction of an inch? I will not be installing this myself, I will be paying a shop to do this because I don't have the tools and skills to do it on my own with out help. So it will go to the shop unless I can get in on a lift party when the time comes. I wouln't mind learning and doing as much as I can but being my only DD it has to be road worthy within a reasonable time.

Should I measure from the center of the hub to the flare to see how much it may have settled now?

If you have the top plates that Boiler makes then it will give you more than a " fraction " of an inch. Everything is doubled so a 3/8 inch plate will give you 3/4 of an inch lift.

Yes it is the 3/8 plate he makes. I would like to use it if possible but I get what you are saying it may lift me too high. So then I guess I should just hold on to them and see how it settles in. I may also get an ARB bumper in the future so that weight may bring it down to where I can use the plates.

What about A arms are stock ones fine with the lift I will likely get?

Check the UCA's / ball joint before hand , but they still should be good. I ran mine 77,000 miles lifted before I swapped them out and they are now on two other KJs

ok will do that then. now I found a dealer with a good price that will package up the springs and OME shocks & struts I want. but which springs? I called ARB, they are telling me with out a bull bar and wench to go with 927 springs on front not the HD 790. they say the truck will ride too rough and bee too high for the CV joints. the alignment may not come in right... the caster maybe too off and the strut could be too short with out the extra weight. they are also recomending the 947 spring for the rear. I may add the ARB bumper in the future but not sure now.... I sure do like the look and all just cant get that now for sure.

AllJ's package is 790 & 948 springs, NS131 struts, and 132L shocks.

which is the best set up for me? I'm sort of confused because I am hearing one set from springs here and ARB is telling me no to 790's and 948 rears, that I should use 927 and 947 springs which are lighter duty

what springs are you putting on lifted CRD's with out bull bars and wenches?
