I got a check in the mail from Chrysler today for $108 for the deductable I had to pay for the window regulator repair.

My window dropped two days ago. Opened the door up enough to tape the glass in place. Today I ordered the Stieger part. I called the dealer and they said, nope, no recall. They did hint that something might develop but I have a window to deal with so I will fix that one on my own dime. Not worth the time & trouble to have it into a dealer.

So pretty much there are two problems that can happen with these windows right? One a piece breaks and the window falls down, and two the regulator breaks, and you can't roll it up or down?

fortunately my window regulator decided to crap out while rolled up. So would it just be wiser to go to my dealer ship, or look for a used regulator at say a pick n pull or something?

I think it's the same thing. Once that plastic piece breaks, the window is no longerr attached to the regulator. If it failed in the up position.....sooner or later it will fall.

A used part is just waiting to fail. I don't think it would be worth the effort to buy the same problem.

Think about repairing it yourself....if I can do it, anyone can.
