Any plastic working experts out there?

I have some ideas for modding my grill and front bumper. What I need to know is what products could be used to glue the plastic of the front bumper after making some cuts to it and the same for the grill. Will any plastic glue work? An epoxy? I have zero experience working with plastic other than supergluing small parts together for various projects in the past. Since these will be larger and more exposed to the elements I want to be sure of the glues.

For those of you with cut bumpers, would this work...

I like the look of that bottom metallic looking piece of the front bumper (air dam?). I was thinking of cutting out a central horizontal section and moving everything up and reattaching. I haven't had the bumper off yet and don't know what kind of support/crush zone material is behind there and if this idea even has a chance. Any advice would be appreciated (other than to just get an ARB...that's down the road in my plans).

here's whats behind your bumper / grill for the most part

if you're talking about the center section directly above the tow hooks, directly behind that is portion of the bumper that has the sticker and caps

a plastic welder would be best. you can find them for reasonable prices on ebay all the time. if you're doing a lot of messing around with plastics, they are worth it.

if it's just a few things, try Kryanolite glues, it chemically bonds ABS plastics. get the drying accellerator with it. most hobby shops will have this stuff

Lowes has some good glue for plastic as well
just used some yesterday...................

i forgot who makes it but ive used this stuff called fuzor, it does need to be painted tho its not "invisible" like ca glue its a 2 part epoxy in a syringe tube, expensive, but awesome stuff. available at most auto body supply shops

Hey Jarhead, do you have a pic with the grille on and bumper off? Im sure it doent mount really but Im trying to envision how Id like my tube bumper...
