When I had the stock rims on my 2002 I had rubbing when at full lock. Not a big issue but I was shopping for some moabs. A few weeks ago I found some and had them installed. Now I have rubbing only when I hit larger bumps/pot holes/wheel rocks. The rub is at the pinch weld. I beat it down several years ago and recovered it with some remolded liner.
The wheels never rubbed there before. I just find it a bit perplexing. Part of me wonders if my front shocks are starting to go...they are OME HD and have about 40k miles on them...I am a bit in shock considering I installed them in June of 2008, lol.

My question is...why is it now rubbing here? And how long do the OME struts last? Could I need new ones already?

I'm NO expert but it could have to do with the setup of the wheels. I believe they have different backspacing. Experts help me out?

Little different back spacing on the Moabs , maybe just enough of a change to rub, lift maybe settling some, where are you at lift wise now. Most all I have seen have plenty of clearance when first installed but after 40-50,000 miles may have to bump it back up some.
Alignment also be out have you had it checked lately, would have to be quite a bit but....

I will have to check to see where I am at with my lift at this point. I think it is....21.5 front and 22 in the back but I could be mistaken. That is obviously form center hub to fender. Alignment? What is that

Alignment done and I will post if i have any more rubbing. Not sure when next trail trip is. Was hoping for next weekend but might be at the house again. Only have a few more weeks of season and i would really like to go but we will see. Perhaps the birds will get away this year.

Forgot about this post even,
another thing why it may be hitting is you went from a 7 to 8 inch wheel, little wider so hitting in a different area. Also not sure what you were when you lifted but I'd say the springs have settled 1/2-3/4 or possible more, shocks would have nothing to do with any loss of lift.
