Walked out to the driveway this morning and found this:

We are in Lubbock, staying with my in-laws for Christmas. There wasn't even much in the Suburban for them to take. All they took was a cell phone charger, and my wife's Third Day, Casting Crowns, Chris Tomlin, Kari Jobe, Cris Allen and Keith Urban CDs, and a small coin purse with all of about $2.50 in change in it. At least I have good glass breakage insurance with Allstate. Had the window replaced this morning by 10:00.

This is the 3rd time we have had stuff stolen from our vehicle in their driveway. But, the first 2 times was our mistake for leaving it un-locked, in broad daylight. They took more stuff those times, but never damaged the car. We learned not to leave anything in the car anymore. It just makes me mad. And my in-laws live in a very nice neighborhood. Grrrrr. Oh well. No-one was hurt, and nothing stolen or broken is irreplaceable.

Man that almost looks just like how mine did .
I so would like to catch some of these low life little :furious: in the act sometime.

But the third time in their driveway, now thats bad for sure, they must know when you come to town!
Doesn't matter where any more they have nothing better to do than cruise and look

Forgot to mention they stole the micro-fiber cloth I had in the driver's door pocket. I hope it is because they slice their hand really deep!

Suddenly I really wish I had the same emots on here as I do on Nevada Shooters. LOL. Hopefully the little buggers got hurt and will think twice. Can't believe 3 times! Must be one of the neighbor kids or worse...their parent(s). Glad it was repaired quickly and sorry you had to deal with that.

I used to have issues with cars I had when I was younger being broken in to. once it was at my house the other two at work. they stole my CD head unit and that was when having one was more of a big thing than now. then I lost a tape deck and matching CD changer. the next time I lost just the changer. what I did was burry the changer in next to the spare tire under the carpet of the trunk. Then because I though it was someone at work I announced that the new equipment was booby trapped with fish hooks and Razor blades, it wasn't but my CD changer never got away after that. Oh yeah they took my CD's two of those times too and what ever was in the changer. I can't imagine they would have liked my music after all I didn't have any rap or hip hop.

Well just hope it comes around and they get the same done to them. It stinks I feel for ya!

I think it is more just plain old vandalism from neighborhood punk kids. First time they got portable headrest mounted VCR player, yes VCR, not even DVD. Next time was 3 cell chargers and a bunch of CDs - mostly copies. Then this time one more charger, more CDs, mostly copies, and a micro-fiber rag. I usually make copies of CDs for the car so the originals don't get all scratched in the console.

Back in the late 80's, early 90's, I worked for a company that manufactured & tested
auto security & convenience devices. (Car Alarms, Starters, etc)

My personal security system was an "entry level" unit that I customized.

Most people will have an annoying (re: LOUD) siren in the engine compartment, (150 - 180dB)
but I chose a smaller 85dB unit. I added a time delay and "open relay circuit" to the output of the unit.

In a situation such as the one pictured here, after the window is broken, the door would be opened starting the time delay.
Generally, even with breaking a window, once inside the vehicle, the would be thief will close he door behind them.

Once inside, the approximately 6 second time delay would run down, the doors & windows would lock, the ignition interrupted,
and the 210dB siren mounted UNDER THE DASH would start sounding.

"No Officer,I didn't see who broke into my car.... but he/they should be easy to find.....
they're the one's with the blood coming out of their ears." :ROTFL: :jester:

BTW... the "open relay circuit" is designed without a "return", so once the relay is triggered, the only way to turn off
the painfully loud under dash siren was with the alarm systems remote control.

Well today i had a bunch of punk kids come by me and traffic and nail my Jeep with to burgers. Well needless to say very :furious: and my jeep caught that dang real quick focus. Turns out it was a 30 year old man and his 12 year old son in a focus. I got in front of them at the next red light and asked the trucker be side me to stay where he was for 50 bucks he happily agreed. Well as soon as he figured out he wasn't going anywhere he decided to be really stupid with me on the phone with the cops he decided to come up to my window cussing and screaming. Typical under educated low life but with my 10mm glock in his face he was offering to clean my jeep right there i bet i could of even gotten him to clean it with his tounge :ROTFL:. Needless to say his son got to see what not to do and daddy got a trip to jail. Wish you luck on catching them i wonder if a taser alarm in the door handle is illegal?

Sorry for that crappy circumstance...at least they didnt do to you what they did to me and pry the window to break it and cause body damage over $1k that made it impossible to install a new window without fixing it. Shame there are people out there in the gene pool that do these despicable things.

You need to set up lost of bear traps :-)r

Also, if you use any suction cup thing on the window I've had cops here in NYC tell me that people are targeting those cars b/c most people leave their GPS systems in their cars when they take them off the window. Those are very easy to sell on the street so they are targeted. Make sure you wipe down the glass really well after using a suction cup and take it off the window before you pull into any sort of mall parking lot. Sometimes those places are staked out.
