Has anyone installed a bypass oil filtration system

T into your oil pressure switch back by the filter. I used that point to connect my Centrifuge and my oil pressure sender is up next to the centrifuge and I don't have any oil pressure problems. Of course I used a 1/4" hydraulic hose to supply the two 0.045" jets in the centrifuge. In theory, I loose about 2 PSI on my reading by taking the oil pressure up by the centrifuge instead of down by the filter, big whoop.
Make sure your bypass filter or centrifuge does not divert any oil until the oil pressure is over 35 PSI, ask them.
You need a 1/8" NPT steel nipple, one 1/4" Brass T, two 1/4" X1/8" NPT brass reducer bushings. Then run a line with 1/4" NPT ends up to your Bypass Filter like I did for my centrifuge. For the return line I ran a 1" line but 3/4" will work OK down to the pan. Your Bypass Filter does not need gravity like my centrifuge, so I may be able to go into the valve cover, ask the supplier. Amsoil sells good products and are happy to help you. As long as you have a good dealer, you should be fine.
BTW, all of the "MADE IN CHINA" crap fittings I used the first time (because that was all the Home Improvement store I was at sold) leaked and made a big mess, I swapped them out for US made fittings and they now they don't leak.

Doc got the same filtration on my 2002 Dodge HO Cummins , been happy with it filters are expessive though!

AMSOIL also has a Bypass Spin-on Adapter which goes between you current filter. It's listed in the filters and mounts section. One of our LOST forum members had indicated he has put a number of these on other vehicles including CRDs. I have been thinking about it but finding room is the next question. I have seen pictures of a bypass filter on the driver side between the battery & fuel filter.
